Enjoyed your workshop in tanpa yesterday. I chose organic farming, compost and mushrooms’, I think I should have chosen communication, We need a big demonstration if netanyahu plans to address congress after Obama was not consulted. This is a big insult to obama and we need to protest this action. Obama could have done much more for us if we were willing to make our voices heard. The 98% were too silent. Obama told us no leader would do it all if he did not have people pushing him for what they want. Now the leader who was elected by the 98% needs to hear from us that we are angry at this insult to him and netanyahu needs to go home and face his own people who have over the top inflation and are not hAPPY. aLSO HE NEEDS TO FACEthe palestinians who want him for war crimes.

Thanks for coming to the workshop, Barbara. Yes, there is a lot to do. You can do the exercise on Constructive Program for communications using the version in the Dandelion Insurrection Study Guide. I believe you got a copy at the workshop. Hello Rivera,
I wanted to let you know it was a pleasure meeting you in Houston. I consider myself very fortunate to have spent the Sunday afternoon in your incredibly inspiring presence at the Seeds of Change workshop. Thank YOU so much for your wisdom, insight, books, and spreading joy and compassion. Your beautiful, warm illuminating spirit brightened up the grey, cloudy rainy days in Houston. I cannot thank you enough!
I grew up reading Orwell’s Animal Farm and of course 1984. What is truly remarkable is that in my lifetime I stumbled upon your books which are a contrast to Orwell’s nightmarish and bleak vision of the future of mankind.
Your books are like the lamps that illuminate a path towards the future that is filled with love, hope, change, togetherness while restoring faith in humanity and giving us back our dignity as human beings. Your books, vision force us to look at ourselves as human beings and question what being human is all about. Thank YOU:)
        With Deep Gratitude,
        BV

I think Orwell was writing to WARN us, not to predict our future. Unfortunately, those who run the empire seemed to think of his concepts as a blueprint for implementation, e.g. universal surveillance, giving us “One nation, under surveillance, with deceit and oppression for all. “(Until we change it all!)

    says:

    Hello Rivera,

Thank you for your piece on the White Rose Resistance. I loved the film “The Final Days of Sophie Scholl” and think of them quite often. Very appropriate today, her brother was a veteran of the infamous Russian Front, our leaders long to recreate. My sympathy lies with German people who were much like us then and now. My favorite poets, Robinson Jeffers, Kenneth Patchen, William Everson and so may others saw what a terrible sham WWII was and resisted it then, It was such a widely resisted war, but the story is rarely told. When you think of how Weimar Germany went from burning Marks to stay warm to building Luftwaffe almost overnight, it was more than rhetoric by Hitler that created the Third Reich, Try ITT, Brown Brothers Hariman Banks, Ford Motor Co, etc. The loved Hitler and profited from Hitler. Now they love NATO and want our children to die in their wars.

Thank you so much! Ever read “Wobbly” by Ralph Chaplin? If not yet, you would love it. It is the story of Anarchist Syndaclism in the US, vital story, also covered up and shrugged off by Communists. The US Bolsheviks teamed up with the Feds to crush the IWW. Shameful legacy, then they stole Joe Hill as a folk hero. Beyond contempt,

    Thanks,

    Jeff Story

Thank you for sharing that, Jeff. I have not read “Wobbly” yet, but I’ll add it to my mountainous reading list!

Thank you for teaching me in your podcast with Elizabeth Murray, former Deputy Intelligence Officer of the CIA. I found the link to your podcast as an attachment to an item at the Sam Adams Awards website. Learning of Sam Adams was another fascinating learning for me today! Wow! I am working on a peace project where I live in Calgary Alberta Canada. I was a student in Grade 11 in 1976, and we visited Russia for ten days. I really related to Elizabeth talking about how we are all just people seeking “LOVE and revolution “!
